Jay-z was a drug dealer before becoming a musician, starting his record label, Roc-A-Fella records to release his 1996 debut, “Reasonable doubt”.

Since, he has accumulated 14 No. 1 albums, 22 Grammy awards and over 500 million dollars in pretax earnings in a decade.

Looking at his worth, Jay-z invests in companies like Armand de Brignac champagne. He owns 100% of Armand de Brignac and has partial ownership of other companies.

Jay-z has an investment in uber worth 70 million dollars. He reportedly purchased his piece for 2 million dollars back in 2013 and then wired founder Travis kalanic another 5 million dollars in an attempt to increase his share but was ignored.

The hip hop star invested in a giant venture with beverage giant Bacardi which moves almost 200,000 cases and has grown nearly 80% annually.

In 2015, Jay-z submitted a bid to purchase the Scandinavian streaming services parent company for just 60 million dollars. He reclaimed Tidal later that year with a roaster celebrity investors including his wife, Beyonce.

Jay-z also invested in a large entertainment company over a decade ago as part of a joint venture with concert giant nation.

ROC Nation represents some of the top stars in the entertainment through its sports agency (Kevin Durrant, Todd Curley) as well as its record label and artist manager arms(Rihanna. J.Cole).

The hip hop artist is known also to have a music catalog worth 75 million dollars, an art collection worth 70 million dollars and real estate values at 50 million dollars.
